Help Cuban Children

Father and Son Playing

The Issue

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are a public health crisis that can lead to serious consequences such as mental health issues, substance abuse, and chronic illnesses. Despite the significance of this issue, there is limited data on ACEs in Cuba. Understanding the scope and impact of these experiences is the first step in creating effective support systems and interventions.

Our Goals

Our Solution

We propose a comprehensive research project to assess the prevalence and impact of ACEs among Cuban people. This project will involve:

1. Data Collection: Conducting surveys with a representative sample of 2,000 people across Cuba.

2. Data Analysis: Analyzing the collected data to identify common ACEs and their correlation with health outcomes.

3. Community Engagement: Collaborating with local communities to understand their needs and raise awareness about ACEs.

4. Policy Recommendations: Develop evidence-based recommendations for policymakers and stakeholders to address and mitigate the effects of ACEs.

"Creo que en Cuba hay mucha desinformación y en nuestra época más, estoy seguro que muchos de los que sufrieron abusos ni siquiera se habrán dado cuenta en su momento"
